Storm risk in southern Ontario amid warm, humid air
As moisture from the Gulf of Mexico enters areas across southern Ontario, it’s going to bring muggy conditions but also pose the risk for some non severe thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon widespread down from Windsor all the way up to the southern end of Quebec, scattered thunderstorms are going to be the story as this cold front pushes further towards the east. That’s what’s going to initiate a lot of the storms heading into the afternoon. We get a break in the evening, but a secondary system pushing in on Monday will bring an additional round of possible thunderstorms, but mainly showers across areas of southern Ontario. Now we’ll see this continue as we head all the way into Tuesday as a secondary rainy system pushes on in, bringing widespread 5 to 15mm of rain right around the Golden Horseshoe higher amounts off the shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, But the humid air will stick around for the southern portions of southern Ontario down towards Windsor and London. However, Toronto and Hamilton will be going back to more seasonal conditions.
