Yesterday, on February 17, Ukrainian military forces repelled an attempt by Russian occupiers to advance in the Zaporizhzhia direction. About 70 terrorists were eliminated, according to the Telegram channel of the Operational Command West.

During the enemy’s attempted advance, the enemy suffered:

・18 pieces of equipment, including 3 tanks;

・about 70 personnel casualties;

Additionally, around 80 occupiers were wounded.

After the unsuccessful advance, the enemy retreated to previous positions.

“During the offensive, 30 pieces of equipment and a significant number of enemy personnel were engaged. We are working! We are destroying the enemy,” the command writes.

Situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction

According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), during the past day, February 17, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to attack our troops’ positions 13 times west of Verbov and Robotyno in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Recently, Dmytro Lykhoviy, the head of the public relations department of the operational-strategic group Tavria, spoke on air during a telethon about the fact that the Russians have deployed more forces to the Orikhiv direction in the Zaporizhzhia region than are currently engaged in the Avdiivka direction.
