Starbucks giving away free reusable cups to customers this week - how to claim

Starbucks is giving away free reusable cups to customers who buy a drink on two specific days this week.

On this Thursday (April 18) and Friday (April 19) Starbucks Rewards members can claim the free limited-edition reusable cup when they order any grande-sized iced beverage through the app. Prices do vary across the country but on average a grande-sized cold coffee brew costs £4.95 and an iced Caffè Latte costs around £4.55.

Your order will then be served to you in the reusable cup. Sadly, frappuccinos are not part of the deal and you will need to swipe your points card or app at the till to gain the freebie. If you continue to reuse your cup going forward, you get 25p off every Starbucks drink you buy. Starbucks Rewards members also collect “Stars” when they buy drinks with every £1 spent, three stars are earned.

The high street coffee chain has warned that there is a limited supply so if you want one you’ll have to be quick. The deal is available at its 1,066 stores and drive-thrus, as well as through click-and-collect. However, the offer is not valid on orders made through Starbucks Delivers.

Starbucks recently announced that it was looking to open 100 new Starbucks stores in the UK over the coming year. Starbucks currently has 1,168 UK stores of these, 354 are company-operated and 814 are run by licensees. Starbucks currently operates 340 UK drive-thru sites. This is the second year in a row the coffee chain has committed to opening 100 new stores in the UK having done so in March 2023. Starbucks confirmed that it had achieved this goal in its October 2023 financial updates. Starbucks has confirmed to the first 19 places where it wants to open stores over the coming months. However, has not confirmed the dates at which these stores will be opening.
