‘RIP ZUMA’: ANC supporters parade coffin at Mbombela Stadium
Supporters of the African National Congress(ANC) have taken extreme measures to show their dislike for its former president Jacob Zuma and his new party Umkhonto Wesizwe.
The governing party celebrated its 112 Anniversary Rally and January 8th statement at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on Saturday.

KwaZulu-Natal flash floods: Five confirmed dead, others missing
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) says the eThekwini Metro, KwaDukuza, and Ndwedwe Local Municipalities are the most affected by the inclement weather conditions, which led to flash floods.
Disaster Management teams in the province responded to several calls between 20:00 and 22:00 on Saturday night when the thunderstorm battered the coastal areas, causing severe damage to households, businesses, and infrastructure.

VIDEO: Residents evacuated in KwaZulu-Natal floods
Residents had to be evacuated, and hundreds of homes have been damaged in flash floods in KwaZulu-Natal.
Emergency services had their hands full this weekend as heavy rainfall caused flash floods in the province.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram said they received 157 calls for assistance from the public in the Phoenix, Verulam, Tongaat area in KwaZulu-Natal since 21:54 on Saturday evening.

Red tide warning: Shellfish caution in Garden Route
In a precautionary measure, residents along the Garden Route are advised against consuming shellfish from the sea. Due to the recent emergence of a red tide phenomenon.
Reports have been received from various locations, spanning Storms River Mouth, Plettenberg Bay, Swartvlei Beach, Kleinkrantz, Wilderness, Glentana, up to Mossel Bay.

WATCH: The Cape waves are glowing bright blue!
A gorgeous spectacle has left locals in awe as the usually dark waters in parts of the Cape have turned a bright blue incandescent colour.
Many wonder what caused the spectacular event and if they can see it soon. The occurrence on beaches is called marine bioluminescence and caused by phytoplankton accumulation as a result of a disturbance in the water, such as a wave crash or splashing.
