Man Utd winger Jadon Sancho
The future of Jadon Sancho may lay away from Man Utd, and TEAMtalk has been told one of his three former clubs are leading the race to prise him out of Old Trafford.
Sancho was a £73m signing from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021, and while much was expected at Old Trafford, little has been delivered.
Indeed, the England international racked up an incredible 76 goals and assists combined during his last two years in Dortmund. By contrast, his first two seasons at Man Utd have returned just 18 goal contributions.
With the thrilling Alejandro Garnacho on the rise and Marcus Rashford poised to return to the wings once a new striker is signed, trouble is on the horizon for Sancho.
The 23-year-old counts Watford, Man City and Dortmund among his previous clubs. According to German outlet BILD, a return to the latter cannot be discounted.
They claimed Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, is in ‘constant’ contact with Sancho’s agency.
Now, TEAMtalk have learned there’s meat on the bones regarding the Dortmund speculation.
We understand the Bundesliga powerhouse are a genuine contender to re-sign Sancho and are leading the chase.
We’ve been told Sancho’s future at Old Trafford is not as certain as might have been expected. His poor form has been taken into account and has not been overlooked by the club.
In the event Man Utd do give the greenlight to cashing in prematurely, it’s Dortmund who are showing the greatest interest at present.
