Kaizer Motaung Jr: Nobody is happy about Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has admitted that the team’s poor form is a massive cause for concern.

Amakhosi have won just two of their last 10 games while they have registered just five wins in the 15 matches that Cavin Johnson had been in charge of.

However, Motaung Jr said the management is well aware, and it is working tirelessly behind the scenes to make things right.

Motaung Jr added that as the Chiefs hierarchy understands the importance and responsibility of getting the club where it belongs.

KAIZER MOTAUNG JR TALKS KAIZER CHIEFS REVIVAL

“There’s a massive concern, we’re a football club, and our job is to win matches, put smiles on people’s faces, and achieve success,” Motaung Jr told reporters on Thursday.

“Nobody is happy, we’re working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we can elevate this football club as we spoke, the brand status.

“So, we’re very much aware of what is happening, what we need to do, and I just think we’re honouring this moment with the respect it deserves and we need to take this club when it needs to be, where it belongs and we know which direction to go,” concluded Motaung Jr.

CONFIRMED: AMAKHOSI TO APPOINT NEW COACH NEXT SEASON

Meanwhile, Motaung Jr has confirmed that the club will definitely have a new coach next season.

He revealed that the search for the new coach actually started a while ago, saying Chiefs made it clear from the onset that Cavin Johnson was just coming in on an interim basis.

Furthermore, Motaung Jr said Amakhosi will have a different technical team structure next season, hinting that the new coach might come with his backroom staff.

“There is definitely [going to be a new coach next season],” Motaung Jr said.

“It’s a something we communicated from the onset — Cavin has stepped in on an interim basis and we’re [committed] to having a different technical structure next season.

“I know we are focused on the next game and the next seven games and we have everything to play for. But yes, definitely the plans have long been in motion — we’ll be having a different technical structure next season.”
