Snookerin MM-kisoissa tärähti jättimäinen yllätys

Walesin Jak Jones järjesti jättimäisen yllätyksen snookerin MM-kisoissa. Jones raivasi sensaatiomaisesti tiensä MM-finaaliin Englannin Kyren Wilsonia vastaan.

Maailmanlistalla sijalla 44 ennen MM-turnausta ollut Jones suisti välierissä tieltään vuoden 2015 maailmanmestarin, englantilaisen Stuart Binghamin erin 17-12. Bingham oli lähettänyt supertähti Ronnie O’Sullivanin puolivälieristä lauluun.

Wilson puolestaan peittosi maanmiehensä David Gilbertin 17-11. Wilson ja Jones tavoittelevat molemmat ensimmäistä maailmanmestaruuttaan.

Wilson on pelannut MM-finaalissa kerran aikaisemmin.
