Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Felicitates Rajasthan Royals Team For Unbeaten Start In IPL 2024

Bhajan Lal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, recently had a meeting with the support personnel and players of the Rajasthan Royals (RR). He expressed his admiration for them and their remarkable winning streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. With four wins in as many games, RR currently find themselves atop the IPL 2024 points table and have stolen the spotlight for their sheer dominance up until this point. And their performances have caught the attention of the Rajasthan’s top authorities.

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma hosted the Rajasthan Royals team at his official Jaipur residence on Tuesday, April 9. The RR players were welcomed by having Rajasthani turbans put on their heads.

RR CEO Jake Lush McCrum greeted the Chief Minister in what was a warm exchange and gave him a signed bat, a team shirt, and a ball that was signed by every RR player. Royals head coach Kumar Sangakkara, Vice President Rajeev Khanna, and state’s sports minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore were also present during the felicitation on Tuesday.

“Today I made a courtesy visit to the players of Rajasthan Royals team at OTS residence and while encouraging them, sent my heartfelt best wishes for the upcoming matches,” CM Bhajan Lal Sharma posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

This visit follows last month’s invitation for Bhajan Lal Sharma, to attend the IPL 2024 action at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He received a Golden Ticket, which will allow him to attend all of the Rajasthan Royals’ home games.

Rajasthan Royals have been foot-perfect in their opening four games of IPL 2024, winning all four of them. Without breaking a sweat or much hassle, at that. They have looked like the team to beat so far and are highly likely to qualify for the playoffs this year after missing out on a top-four spot in 2023.

Their campaign began with a 20-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at home. They have since gone on to beat Delhi Capitals (12 runs), Mumbai Indians (6 wickets), and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (6 wickets).

Their upcoming game is against last season’s runners-up Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Wednesday, April 10.
