ABUJA – President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting which held behind closed doors started at about 5:35p.m immediately after the governor arrived at the Presidential Villa.
While Fubara did not state the reason for his visit, it may not be unconnected with the implementation of the eightpoint agreement signed by the governor during his last visit to the Villa.
Recall that Fubara and his predecessor now current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, had been having a running battle over who controls the soul of the state.
While Fubara had at a recent public function in the state claimed that his enemies were bent on robbing him of the red pen he uses to sign official documents, Wike on the other hand had also indirectly replied that when the time was right everybody would know who is in charge of Rivers State.
