Reading and Leeds Festival announce huge new acts as The Vamps star makes debut

Reading and Leeds Festival 2024 have announced more new acts to the already star-studded line-up.

Earlier this year, the event announced 50 new artists for this year’s shows. Some of the original line-up includes Mean Girls icon Reneé Rapp, Blink-182, Denzel Curry, Fred again.., 21 Savage, RAYE, Skriller, Jorja Smith, The Prodigy, Digga D, Liam Gallagher, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Lana Del Rey.

Over 240,000 visitors are expected to flock to the two festivals at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds – making both Reading and Leeds the biggest UK festival which is dedicated just to music. And now, the event organisers announced more acts to join the line-up.

BRIT Award-winning group FLO will be performing at the event, along with soulful singer Teddy Swims, rap trio Frozemode, and alt-pop star Jessie Murph – who will be gracing the Radio 1 stage. Other stars joining are Kid Kapichi, Swim School, Dead Poet Society, as well as The Luke State.

When all the music lovers aren’t moving around the arenas and various tents to listen to their favourite artists, they will be able to indulge in some of the best pop-up food and vintage clothing stores. This year, dance music will take centre stage across the weekend, with DJs such as Barry Can’t Swim, Sonny Fodera and Goddard delivering electric sets.

More artists include indie singer-songwriter Matt Maltese, social media sensation Mackenzy Mackay, Australian metalcore band The Amity Affliction, pop-punk duo Loveless, rock sensation Mannequin Pussy and lead singer of American rock band The Neighborhood, Jesse.

Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic, previously said of the upcoming event: “It’s thrilling to announce such an incredible range of groundbreaking artists who are shaping the music scene in real-time. Reading & Leeds doesn’t stand still; our audience demands the best and our lineup strives to reflect what people are currently listening to.

“As the UK’s biggest and best music festival, Reading & Leeds is a unique and prestigious platform which attracts the world’s biggest artists. We’re proud to always be at the cutting edge and keen eyes may have spotted another evolution for the show on the poster; ‘The Chevron’ – details of which will be revealed soon.”

Reading and Leeds Festival 2024 takes place from 21-25 August at Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds. The full line-up can be seen on www.readingandleedsfestival.com.
