Reddy, who will turn 21 on the day of the 2024 IPL final (May 26), has made a reptuation for being an emerging pace-bowling all-rounder and given the Indian cricket fraternity hope that he can give the country a viable alternative to Hardik Pandya.

Reddy is a home-grown player for SRH, as he plays for Andhra Pradesh in domestic cricket. Reddy made his first-class debut for his state in January 2020, when he was just 16 years old. Later, he made his List A and T20 debuts in 2021.

So far in his career, Reddy has played 17 first-class matches, in which he has 566 runs and 52 wickets. However, he has 403 runs and 14 wickets in 22 List-A games. In T20s, he has yet to take a wicket and has made just 106 runs in eight matches.

Reddy was purchased by SRH for just Rs. 20 lakh in the 2023 IPL auction. He made his IPL debut against RCB in the 2023 IPL clash at Hyderabad last year. Before today’s game, Reddy had only 14 runs and 0 wickets in three IPL matches to his name.
