In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) witnessed a year-on-year decline of over 10 per cent, with profits amounting to Rs 10,356 crore.

The state-run petroleum company reported a revenue from operations of Rs 1,65,569 crore during this period.

The board of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has given the green light for a second interim dividend of 80%, equivalent to Rs 4.00 per equity share with a face value of Rs 5.00. The total payout for this interim dividend will amount to Rs 5,032 Crore. The record date for dividend distribution is set for February 17, 2024, and has been duly communicated to the stock exchanges. This additional dividend comes in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 5.75 per share (115%) declared in November 2023.

As per the company’s filing on NSE, “The Board of Directors have declared 2nd Interim dividend at the rate of ₹4/- per equity share of face value of ₹5/- each i.e. @80% for the Financial Year 2023-24. As informed vide letter dated 02.02.2024, Saturday, 17th February, 2024 has been fixed as “Record Date” for determining eligibility of shareholders for payment of 2nd Interim Dividend. The dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before 10.03.2024.”

On Friday, the shares of ONGC closed at Rs 268.10, 1.85 per cent down from the previous day’s closing. The 52 week high and low of the share is Rs 275.65 and Rs 143.15 respectively.

According to BSE analytics, the shares have given returns of 23.22 per cent in the last 1 month and massive returns of 82.59 per cent in the last 1 year.
