Thug Life, the highly anticipated Kamal Haasan starrer, which is helmed by veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam, started rolling in February 2024. The unit is now in Delhi shooting for the film until May 12, after which sources say the unit will head to London to can some important portions for the film before returning to Chennai.
Under these circumstances, the Thug Life Unit has now made official the fact that actor Silamabarasan is a part of the film.
A Pivotal Role
On Wednesday, the production houses producing the film, Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Madras Talkies, released an official character poster of Silambarasan with the caption: “In the Realms of Dust, a New Thug Arises! STR @silambarasantrofficial makes his Mark (sic)”
They also released a video clip on the occasion, which shows Simbu driving a Border Police car in what appears to be a desert. Simbu, who has been introduced as ‘the new thug in town’, fires a couple of shots from the car.
If reports are to be believed, Simbu is playing an important character in the multi-starrer film, which is touted to be an action drama. The actor is expected to appear in multiple looks just like the leading man. More updates on the talented actor’s character are expected to be out soon.
A Star-Studded Cast
Thug Life boasts a star-studded cast including actors Abhirami, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, and Nasser. The film is a collaborative production by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, with A. R. Rahman serving as the music director.
