Sidharth Shukla's family requests everyone to respect his consent before releasing any project

Sidharth Shukla gained a massive fan following on social media after winning Bigg Boss 13. Hence, his sudden demise on September 2, 2021, left everyone extremely shocked. His fans, friends and colleagues from the industry filled social media expressing grief over his death. Later, many celebrities and music companies even came up with songs and projects paying a tribute to Sidharth, which led to several controversies. Now, Sidharth Shukla’s family has released a new statement requesting everyone to respect the late actor’s consent and to consult with them before releasing any project in his name.

SIDHARTH SHUKLA’S FAMILY ISSUES STATEMENT

Sidharth Shukla’s family issued a statement requesting makers, who he has worked with in the past, to not release projects which he didn’t want. Shehnaaz has also shared this statement on her Instagram story.

The statement read as, “We, as a family, come with a request, which we hope everyone will respect. Sidharth has moved on and no longer can he make decisions for himself, but he’s still an integral part of our lives and our memories and we are there to protect his wishes. We request everyone who wants to use Sidharth’s name and/or face in any project, please reach out to us. Please take a moment to ask us. We knew Sidharth’s choices, we knew what he would have wanted and our decisions for him would be keeping all this in mind. And if there are projects that he wasn’t happy with, we are sure he wouldn’t want them released. Anything that did not release when he was with us, did not have his consent or intent for release. So please let’s keep his wishes in mind and let’s remember him with love, with respect, with fond memories, the ones he left us with. From, The Shukla Family (sic).”

IS THE STATEMENT HINTED AT VISHAL KOTIAN?

If reports are to be believed, Sidharth Shukla’s family’s statement is hinted at Bigg Boss 15 ex-contestant Vishal Kotian. He is apparently releasing a song that is against the late actor’s wishes. A source told The Times Of India, “Sidharth had shot for this song before Bigg Boss 13, three years ago, and as Vishal claimed in one of his interviews, the song was left incomplete. The reason it was incomplete was because Sidharth wasn’t happy with the shoot and never wanted it out. The family doesn’t want the song to be released as it was Sidharth’s wish too. But we hear that apparently neither Vishal, nor the music label sought permission. The family really doesn’t want the song to be out respecting Sidharth’s wishes but the makers and Vishal don’t seem to care.”

SIDHARTH SHUKLA’S DEATH

Sidharth Shukla’s body was taken to Mumbai’s Cooper hospital after he suffered a massive heart attack on September 2, 2021. The late actor was cremated in Oshiwara on September 3. The funeral was earlier supposed to happen at the Brahma Kumaris, but because of permission issues, it took place in Oshiwara. Many of his fans and followers blocked the roads to catch one last glimpse of Sidharth Shukla. The funeral was conducted according to the Brahma Kumaris rituals.
