Shreyas Talpade on Covid vaccine: ‘Don’t know what we’ve taken inside our bodies’
Shreyas Talpade, who suffered a heart attack in 2023, commented on the debate over Covid-19 vaccine Covishield being responsible for blood clots, resulting in strokes. The actor said that it was after the vaccine that she started feeling fatigued and tired. Shreyas also said that he wants to know what the Covid vaccine did to our bodies.
Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack on the sets of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ in December 2023. In the similar lines, the actor commented on the ongoing debate around the side-effects of Covid vaccine Covishield and how it is being linked to the increase in heart attacks and strokes.Â
Shreyas, while speaking to Lehren Retro, said, “I would not negate the theory. It was only after the Covid vaccine that I started to experience some fatigue and tiredness. There has to be some amount of truth and we cannot negate the theory. It can be Covid or the vaccine, I don’t know which of the two, but it is associated (with my condition).”
He added, “It is very unfortunate and scary because we genuinely don’t know what we have taken inside our bodies. We trusted the companies, went with the flow. I never heard of such incidents before Covid. “I want to know what the vaccine has done to us. I am not sure whether it is Covid or the vaccine. Till I don’t have all the facts and proof, it is pointless to make any statements. Nevertheless, I want to know more.”
Much before the Covishield debate started, Shreyas, speaking to IndiaToday.in, said, “My doctors tell me that post Covid, they’ve seen an increase in these incidents because the blood apparently has started thickening. With that, what happens is, obviously, there’s a certain plaque that accumulates. In my case, probably due to excessive physical exertion, the plaque burst and got ruptured. That’s how it got blocked. It was pretty sudden, and it was an accident which was unfortunate. I’m just thankful to God for getting me out of it and giving me one more opportunity.”
