Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's eldest daughter survives deadly fire

Sharon Osbourne has revealed her daughter survived a deadly studio fire.

On Thursday, the 69-year-old confirmed that her eldest daughter, Aimee Osbourne, was one of two people who escaped a fire at a recording studio in Hollywood.

The deadly incident tragically left one person dead.

Sharon has spoken out about the accident, saying that her daughter – an actress and singer – and her producer were the “lucky two that made it out alive.”

In an Instagram post, Sharon wrote: “It is utterly heartbreaking that someone lost their life today in this fire & we are sending our prayers to this person & their family. What happened today was beyond horrific.”

She continued, “I really hope moving forward that buildings like this are better regulated for fire safety. This building was a creative hub for music in Hollywood, a space that should have been regulated for fire code.”

“Producers, musicians, mixers & artists also lost all of their equipment. Once again, our prayers go out to the family and friends of the person that lost their life to this senseless fire,” she concluded.

Sharon shared the emotional post alongside a screenshot of an LA Times article which reported on the tragedy.

Aimee, 38, is the eldest daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. The duo have two other children, Kelly, 37, and Jack 36.

The Los Angeles Fire Department released a statement about the incident and said 78 firefighters responded to a call on Thursday night about a fire burning through an industrial building in Hollywood.

“There was an abundance of small individual recording studios inside, creating a very compartmentalized layout, which was extremely challenging to navigate and crawl through in zero visibility,” the release explained.

“Additionally, the studios had sound deadening thick walls, extra insulation, double drywall, and thick windows. While this design was intended to keep the sound from escaping, it also excelled at keeping the smoke and heat from escaping.”

After 51 minutes the firefighters were able to extinguish flames but said they “took a beating” while doing so.

Aimee and her producer were found with minor smoke-related respiratory symptoms.

“Tragically, during their systematic interior search, firefighters discovered one person deceased in the structure,” the release confirmed.

There were no other victims.

During their search, firefighters discovered marijuana growing in the upstairs level of the building, it is not yet determined if this contributed to the fire or whether it was being grown legally.

“LAFD’s Fire Prevention Bureau was notified and Fire Inspectors from the Cannabis Unit responded to review previous records, inspect the building, help determine if this was legal, and (in a joint effort with Fire Investigators) determine if it contributed to the cause of the fire,” the statement reads.

These investigations remain active (currently no conclusions have been made).”
