Severe threat Friday
Severe weather is possible in parts of South Carolina on Friday.
The system on Friday could bring 1-2 inches of rain and, along with that, some strong to severe storms.

Strong winds are the primary concern, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out with this setup.
The timing for the possible severe weather is from 2-8 p.m.
All areas of the Upstate are in the medium category for severe weather.
There is also a concern about some flooding due to the heavy amounts of rain we got on Tuesday.
We dry out just in time for the weekend and cool down.
The cooler air will stay with us through much of next week, with another chance of rain for the Upstate Monday night into Tuesday and a chance of snow in the mountains early Tuesday morning.
Temperatures on Thursday and Friday will be in the 50s in the Upstate, and then we cool down to the 40s for the weekend.
