Amazon knocks £80 off 'fantastic' Tefal non-stick frying pan set that leaves 'no food waste'

One of the leading brands on the market for cookware and small appliances is Tefal, especially when it comes to pots and pans. And one of their bestsellers, the Tefal Induction Non-Stick Cookware Set, has just had its price slashed on Amazon.

It’s now £69.99, down from £150 – this is cheaper than getting it from Argos or Tefal (£150). The set features two frying pans and three saucepans, which come with a glass lid.

The five pieces are suitable for all hobs including induction, and are dishwasher safe. They have a titanium non-stick coating and emit a thermal signal to indicate when the pan has reached the ideal cooking temperature.

If you’re looking for utensils that are safe to use with the pans, you can also get the Goalfly 6PCS Kitchen Utensils Set, which is currently on offer for £9.99 on Amazon. The Tefal set has a 4.2 rating from across 202 reviews.

One shopper wrote: “This set has been excellent, I’ve only owned it for three months but the non-stick coating has been brilliant and flawless. Food heats up very quickly and heat distribution is great.”

“These pans actually make my food taste better, so easy to clean, wish I had bought new pans sooner,” another added, while a third commented: “These are fantastic I’ve used them all so far on an induction hob, the non stick makes washing so easy and I’ve noticed the pots leave zero waste – I was heating soup and every drop glided into my bowl without scraping. Great variety of sizes, super value for money.”

There has been very little criticism of the product, but some customers were disappointed by the coating, which began to peel after a few months of use: “12 months of use on an induction hob and cleaned in a dish washer, the outer coating has peeled away and the metal is breaking down, expected more from Tefal, very disappointed, won’t buy again.”

Alternatively, there’s the Aluminium Non-Stick Pan Set from John Lewis. It’s on the pricier side, at £150, but comes with heat-resistant handles as well as glass pour and strain lids with steam vents.

It has a 4.3 rating based on seven reviews. “Excellent value for money, I particularly like the style of handle and rubber grip, the lids are brilliant too as you can drain water off easily,” said a buyer.
