One of the most well known and popular Kerry establishments has this past month been put up for sale with an asking price of €1.6million.
The establishment, as most readers would have garnered from the photos above is the famous Sammy’s Restaurant, Café and shop, located at Inch Beach, and is somewhere that, since it first opened its doors back in 1987, has long been a favourite of locals in the area and visiting tourists alike.
The sale of the business is being handled by Sherry O’Callaghan of O’Callaghan Town & Country Real Estate.
The business has undergone a re-imagining and has been renovated to a high standard before being re-launched in recent years. It is seen as a tourist “hotspot” and the place to go to enjoy a memorable beachside experience.
Sammy’s Café offers seating for approximately 24 people in what is described on the property’s Daft.ie listing as a “bright, cheerful & nautical setting.” The restaurant side meanwhile offers approximately 50 seats for inside dining and an additional 48 seats for dining “semi outside”, underneath its newly installed pergola.
There is also an outside area, complete with a “stretch tent” that guests of the café and restaurant can avail of as well. This outdoor area is decorated with picnic tables as well as colourful bean bag seating.
Alongside the café and restaurant, the establishment also boasts Sammy’s Shop which is described on the listing as a “bustling little store where people can grab a quick coffee from the machine, water or a snack, or if visiting the area, can pick up a unique souvenir or two”
As the establishment is being sold as a going concern, it is being sold fully fitted with everything you will need to keep these business’ running smoothly.
Sitting on c.0.31 hectares, Sammy’s is a three story, double fronted property, which offers more than ample space (3893 square feet to be exact) for the day to day business that’s in place and still more room for more ideas, this creating even more potential for interested purchasers.
Behind the scenes at Sammy’s, there are two kitchens (main kitchen on the main floor and prep kitchen on the basement level) while the business also features a lift on site for moving items between floors.
The kitchens have two walk-in fridges and one walk in freezer. There is a dry storage room, a stock room, other storage rooms, staffroom/ canteen and ample office space; there are washrooms on all three levels, with the three customer washrooms, including a disabled/ baby changing washroom being located on the main floor. There is an heating/air conditioning system in the building, a solid fuel stove in the main dining room and there is fibre op installed.
See photos of the property in the photo gallery above.
