Sergei Bobrovsky named finalist for 2024 Vezina Trophy
A spectacular season by Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has landed him a finalist nod for the league’s top honor at his position.
The NHL announced Monday that Bobrovsky was one of three finalists for the Vezina Trophy, which is awarded annually to “the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position.”
The award is voted on by NHL general managers.

Bob finished the season with a 36-17-4 record to go with a 2.37 goals against average – leading all goalies with at least 50 appearances – and .915 save percentage, which was fourth best in the league in that group.
His six shutouts tied for the league lead and he finished third in wins.
This is the third time in Bobrovsky’s career he’s been a Vezina finalist. He won the award in 2013 and 2017.
Bobrovsky now becomes the third Panthers goaltender to be named a Vezina finalist, joining John Vanbiesbrouck (1994) and Roberto Luongo (2004).
Bob’s fellow finalists are Connor Hellebuyck and Thatcher Demko, so congrats to Bob on being the Eastern Conference Vezina Champion.
