SBI Dividend 2024, Date: The state-owned India’s largest public lender, State Bank of India, is all set to reward its shareholders with a dividend for FY24. The Bank has also announced that its board meeting is scheduled this week to consider the financial results of the Bank for the quarter/year ended March 31, 2024.
Shares of State Bank of India started the week’s first trading session with gains. SBI’s stock opened at Rs 835, just Re 1 shy of the 52-week high of Rs 836 on the BSE. At around 11:50 am, the stock was quoted trading at Rs 809.30, down 2.68 per cent from its previous close of Rs 831.55.

State Bank of India, in the exchange filing, has said that the public sector lender’s central board is scheduled to meet on May 9, 2024, to consider the financial results of the Bank for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2024.
“We inform that a meeting of the Central Board of the Bank will be held on Thursday, 9th May 2024, at Mumbai to consider the financial results of the Bank for the quarter/year ended 31st March 2024,” said the bank in the exchange filing on the BSE.

The public sector lender, in an exchange filing on the BSE, has also said that the bank’s central board at their meeting scheduled on Thursday, May 9, 2024, will also consider the declaration of dividend, if any, for the financial year ended on March 31, 2024.
“…the Central Board of the Bank may also consider the declaration of dividend, if any, for FY 2023-24,” said SBI in the exchange filing on the BSE.

The public sector lender has a rich history of paying dividends to its shareholders. As per the BSE data, SBI has paid a dividend of Rs 11.30 in 2023, Rs 7.10 in 2022, Rs 4 in 2021, Rs 2.60 in 2017 and 2.60 in 2016 to the shareholders.

The public sector bank’s stock has offered a return of 40.43 per cent in the last one year, 67.10 per cent in the last two years, 127.67 per cent in the last three years, 162.18 per cent in the last five years and a whopping 294.46 per cent in the last ten years to its investors, as per the data available on the BSE.
Shares of SBI have a 52-week range of Rs 836 – Rs 543.15 on the BSE.
