Disturbing footage has captured the moment a teenager was allegedly stabbed multiple times during a wild brawl at an illegal beach party on the NSW north coast.
Witnesses used smartphones to video the beach brawl, which happened at about 8pm near First avenue at Sawtell on Sunday night.
Bystanders can be seen trying to intervene while the two brawl, before a knife is then seen in the footage and a 16-year-old boy, wearing a white shirt, is repeatedly stabbed in his back, abdomen and arm, and was left fighting for life.
The injured teenager was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital with critical injuries, police said.
Police were told a group of about 100 people were in attendance at the beach when a fight broke out.
Officers from Coffs-Clarence Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information about the incident, or who may have mobile phone footage, to come forward.
Police believe the victim was allegedly attacked while trying to protect a teenage girl who had been involved in a separate fight.
They said the teen’s condition had improved.
