Samsung S24 release date, price and how to pre-order
Fans of Samsung phones are counting the days until the South Korean electronics giant unleashes its latest model on the mobile phone market.
Details of an eagerly-awaited Samsung Galaxy S24 are expected to be announced this month at an online event.
Here’s what we know about the new android phone, when it is likely to be on sale and how to get hold of it.
When will the Samsung S24 be released?
No official date has so far been given for the release of the S24. However, Samsung has announced it will be hosting an “Unpacked” event in San Jose, California on Wednesday, 17 January.
The firm has invited people to join it as it unveils “the latest premium Galaxy innovations, providing an all-new mobile experience powered by AI”.
It said: “A revolutionary mobile experience is coming.
“Get ready to discover a new era full of possibilities with the latest Galaxy innovations, designed to transform how you live, connect and create.
“The new Galaxy S series will set a higher standard for the most intelligent mobile experience yet.
“Experience the epic in everyday life like never before.”
The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel beginning at 6 pm.

Previous history suggests the release of the Samsung S24 is likely to come about two weeks after the Unpacked event.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra was announced on 1 February 2023 and released onto the market on 17 February 2023 and the S22 was announced on 7 February 2022 and released on 25 February 2022.
How much will the S24 cost?
Prices for the new model have not been confirmed by Samsung but rumours in the tech world suggest they may be similar to the S23 price range.

Samsung Galaxy S24 – from £849
Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus – from £1,049
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – from £1,249
How can you pre-order a Samsung S24?
With the announcement of the Unpacked event, Samsung has offered people the chance to register for pre-order deals and receive a $50 (£40) discount here.
Registration is open until 16 January 2024 at 11.59pm.
It is expected that once the announcement has been made on the 17 January, pre-orders will be taken the same day and, according to Techradar.com, the pre-order window will close on 25 January.
