Samsung Galaxy S24 series launch is just days away now and we already have a bunch of details on it

The anticipated launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is on the horizon, with rumors pointing to a potential unveiling on January 17, 2024. While the official launch date has not been confirmed by the company, details about the next-generation Galaxy S series have already surfaced, thanks to insights provided by leaksters and tipsters. As the launch event approaches, leaked information about the prices of the upcoming Samsung phones has emerged, shedding light on what consumers can expect.

It is highly likely that Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 lineup will consist of three models: the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Speculation indicates that there might not be any upgrades to the storage variants of the new Galaxy S24 series, and the lineup is expected to maintain similar features as its predecessor, the S23 series.

There was also a recent leak that revealed the speculated European prices for the devices. However, it’s crucial to note that Indian prices tend to be considerably lower than those in the European market. In Europe, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is rumored to start at EUR 899 (around Rs 82,000) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 256GB storage variant may be priced at EUR 959 (approximately Rs 88,000). Moving up the lineup, the Galaxy S24+ could carry a price tag of EUR 1,149 (around Rs 1,05,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

As for the premium offering, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it is speculated to be priced at EUR 1,449 (around Rs 1,33,500) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB version. Additionally, the Ultra model may come in configurations with 12GB RAM + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB, priced at EUR 1,569 (roughly Rs 1,44,500) and EUR 1,809 (around Rs 1,66,500), respectively.

While Samsung has not officially disclosed specifications or included-in-the-box details for the new Galaxy lineup, various online rumors and tips have surfaced regarding the features of the Galaxy S24 series. Leaker Evan Blass, known for reliability, shared what seems to be the entire spec sheet of the Galaxy S24 lineup in a recent tweet. According to Blass, the phones may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in certain markets like the US, Canada, and China, while the rest of the markets might see Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chipset powering the smartphones.

The Galaxy S24 is expected to sport a 6.2-inch AMOLED 2x FHD display, a 50-megapixel main camera supporting 8K video recording, and up to 30x Space Zoom. The device may offer 8GB of RAM with storage options of 128GB or 256GB, and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging.

For the Galaxy S24+, it is likely to share a similar camera system with the S24 but feature a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED 2x QHD+ display, a 4,900mAh battery, 12GB of RAM, and storage choices of 256GB or 512GB.

The premium Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to replace its aluminium body with titanium and feature a powerful camera system, including a 200MP main lens, a 10x quad telephoto, and 100x Space Zoom. The Ultra models are also expected to include the S Pen, a 6.8-inch AMOLED 2x QHD+ display, and a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of design, all three variants are likely to resemble the S23 models, although the Ultra model may feature a more flat screen.

The focal point of the Galaxy S24 lineup is anticipated to be the integration of AI, with Samsung reportedly incorporating its Gauss generative AI system into the series. This on-device AI system, supported by the latest Snapdragon chipset, is expected to enable features such as auto message replying and enhanced photo editing.

With rumors pointing to a January 17 launch date, Samsung is likely to announce official details in the coming days.
