S. Koreans complain of discrimination after Tesla suspends sales of Model 3 Long Range

The Model 3 Long Range is Tesla’s most popular EV in South Korea, with 6,275 sold between January and June of this year.

South Koreans raised complaints against Tesla Inc. for discriminating against them after the US electric vehicle maker suspended sales of its Model 3 Long Range while continuing to sell it elsewhere.

The Model 3 Long Range is Tesla’s most popular EV in South Korea, with 6,275 sold between January and June of this year.

Tesla explained that the suspension was due to a lack of supply.

However, the Model 3 Long Range is still being sold in the US, Japan, China, and Europe, although there are delivery delays.

When the South Korean government decided to offer full subsidies only to EVs priced below 60 million won, Tesla lowered the price of the Model 3 to 59.9 million won so that the car would qualify.
