Ruotsin joukkue toukokuun jääkiekon miesten MM-kisoihin vahvistui lauantaina jälleen uudella NHL-pelaajalla, maan jääkiekkoliitto ilmoitti. Detroit Red Wingsin hyökkääjä Lucas Raymond on jo 14:s NHL-pelaaja Tre Kronorin kisajoukkueessa.

Ruotsilla on taalakaukaloista kolme maalivahtia (Samuel Ersson, Filip Gustavsson ja Jesper Wallstedt), neljä puolustajaa (Jonas Brodin, Rasmus Dahlin, Erik Karlsson ja Marcus Pettersson) sekä seitsemän hyökkääjää: Raymond, Andre Burakovsky, Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Johansson, Isac Lundeström, Victor Olofsson ja Fabian Zetterlund.

Suomella on toistaiseksi kolme NHL-miestä. Detroit Red Wingsin puolustaja Olli Määttä ja Pittsburgh Penguinsin hyökkääjä Jesse Puljujärvi ovat Leijonien mukana jo ensi viikon Tshekin EHT-turnauksessa. San Jose Sharksin hyökkääjä Mikael Granlund liittyy joukkueeseen, kun Leijonat siirtyvät EHT-turnauksen jälkeen Prahaan. Suomi avaa siellä MM-turnauksensa 10. toukokuuta isäntämaa Tshekkiä vastaan.
