LNP Defence and National Security Policy’s Lincoln Parker has reminded Australians it was the Albanese government who said before and after their successful 2022 election that we face the “most dire” strategic and dangerous circumstances in 80 years.

“Yet we can’t even send a single warship to do our bit in the Red Sea,” he told Sky News Australia host Erin Molan.
“We are just not serious, we are just not prepared – we are just unconcerned.
“The Chief of Defence Forces has told us he and his department have failed in terms of recruitment and retention – we are down over seven per cent.
“People are leaving in droves, they cannot keep people, they cannot attract people.”
