London: Rumah Reece James dipecah masuk ketika dia beraksi untuk Chelsea ketika menentang Zenit St Petersburg dalam saingan Liga Juara-Juara kelmarin.

Pemain pertahanan kanan England berusia 21 tahun itu berkata, pingat naib juara Euro 2020, pingat Liga Juara-Juara dan Piala Super dicuri dalam kejadian itu.

Bagaimanapun, dia lega tiada siapa di rumahnya ketika rompakan berlaku.

James dalam Instagramnya berkata: “Saya beritahu anda semua bahawa saya selamat dan sihat.”

Pertahanan itu sebahagian daripada anggota skuad Chelsea yang menewaskan Manchester City pada final Liga Juara-Juara, Mei lalu.

Dia kemudiannya membantu England mara ke final Euro 2020 namun tewas kepada Itali menerusi penentuan penalti sebelum membantu Chelsea menewaskan Villarreal pada Piala Super awal musim ini.

“Sekumpulan penyamun yang pengecut memecah masuk rumah saya,” kata James. “Mereka melarikan sekotak barang sangat bernilai buat diri saya seperti pingat kemenangan Liga Juara-Juara dan Piala Super serta pingat naib juara Euro 2020 tapi saya tidak pernah menyimpan barang kemas seperti berlian di rumah.

“Kesemua pingat itu saya perolehi bersama Chelsea dan England, suatu penghormatan yang tidak boleh dirampas daripada saya walaupun tanpa pingat untuk membuktikannya.”
