Taylor Swift made sure to give one of Super Bowl 2024’s big heroes a proper congratulations.
And now we know what the “…Ready for It?” singer had to say.
Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman reeled in a three-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes in the waning seconds of overtime, giving Kansas City its second straight Super Bowl and third in the last five seasons in a 25-22 victory over the 49ers.
Amid all the exaltation and jubilation on the field at Allegiant Stadium after the win, the world’s biggest pop star gave a huge hug to Hardman.
Video from the moment showed the two embrace, and after the two separated, Swift wanted to make sure she told him how excited she was for the winning Chiefs.
“Absolutely, absolutely. So happy for you guys,” Swift said to the ex-Jet before the microphones cut off.
Hardman’s big day — that included three catches on 57 yards — was quite the turnaround for someone who had just one catch in five games with the Jets before being traded to Kansas City midseason.

With the Chiefs, he reeled in 14 catches over six regular-season games before grabbing the play of his life against the 49ers.
“I caught the ball and I blacked out. I’m not going to lie,” Hardman recalled of the catch after the game. “I saw Pat running toward me and I was like, ‘Oh, we just won.’ After that, the rest is history.”
Hardman’s girlfriend, Chariah Gordon, said she was going through all the emotions after the thrilling come-from-behind victory that saw the Chiefs erase multiple deficits, which included being down 13-3 at halftime.

“I’m literally crying my eyes out, God is so good,” Gordon said in a video she shared on her Instagram Story.
As for Swift, her whirlwind week took her from performing live at the Tokyo Dome in Japan to flying all the way across the Pacific Ocean, eventually getting to Las Vegas in time to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce on the field to win the big game on Sunday night.
The couple shared a tender moment on the field after the game, kissing before Kelce thanked Swift for getting to the game after the crazy turnaround.

“Oh, I cannot believe that,” Swift said to Kelce after he thanked her for coming, in a moment captured by “Inside the NFL.” “I can’t believe you.”
“Thank you for making it halfway across the world… You’re the best, baby. The absolute best,” Kelce said.
