Cemair to start up Joburg – East London flights

South Africa’s privately-owned carrier, Cemair, is starting up new flights on another domestic route.

This time, the airline will add flights to the coastal city of East London.

Cemair will introduce scheduled flights between Johannesburg and East London in the first week of April.

CEMAIR EXPANSION

The independently owned carrier will start up flights between Johannesburg and East London on 7 April.

The airline is in an expansion phase. It has grown its route network significantly in the years following the Covid-19 pandemic.

EAST LONDON ROUTE

From 8 April Cemair will fly between East London and Johannesburg. Flights will be offered 5 times a week.

According to the company’s website, direct flights from East London to Johannesburg will operate every weekday, as morning services.

Flights between Johannesburg and East London will operate as evening services on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.

CROSS-BORDER FLIGHTS

Cemair has also recently announced the launch of scheduled flights between Johannesburg and Harare in Zimbabwe.

From 21 March, it will offer scheduled flights between Johannesburg and Harare. The flights will operate 4 flights a week on this new route.

The airline currently flies to Maun and Kasane (Botswana), Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and Maputo (Mozambique).

Flights to Luanda (Angola), Livingstone (Zambia), Gaborone (Botswana) are in the pipelines for the carrier.
