Den norske duoen i dobbeltsculler endte på 5.-plass i en finale der rumenske Andrei-Sebastian Cornea og Marian Enache vant suverent.

Tyskland tok sølv og Italia bronse. Det skilte vel elleve sekunder opp til seierspallen for Juel og Solbakken.

De forsøker å feste grepet om den norske OL-plassen i dobbeltsculler foran lekene i Paris. Oscar Helvig og Kristoffer Brun kvalifiserte inn den norske båten, og per nå er det et jevnt løp mellom de to roduoene om hvem som skal til OL.

I verdenscupregattaen i Varese tidligere i måneden var Juel/Solbakken sju tidels sekund raskere enn Helvig/Brun da de norske båtene var i samme oppsamlingsheat.
