RM1 bilion tambah baik infra telekomunikasi di Kelantan

KUALA LUMPUR – Kerajaan bersetuju meningkatkan jumlah pelaburan bagi menambah baik infrastruktur telekomunikasi di Kelantan daripada RM700 juta kepada lebih RM1 bilion, menurut Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

Melalui perkongsian di Twitter pada Rabu, beliau memaklumkan pelbagai inisiatif baharu telah ditambah menerusi Pelan Jalinan Digital Negara (Jendela) di negeri berkenaan.

“Jendela di Kelantan telah ditambah dengan inisiatif baharu melalui pembinaan menara-menara baharu, perkhidmatan jalur lebar secara percuma kepada masyarakat orang asli menggunakan teknologi satelit dan juga pemasangan gentian optik berkelajuan tinggi di beberapa premis,” katanya.

Beliau turut menzahirkan penghargaan kepada Menteri Besar Kelantan, Datuk Ahmad Yakob yang mendengar taklimat daripada delegasi Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia (SKMM).

Kerajaan sebelum ini mengumumkan peruntukan RM700 juta menerusi Jendela untuk meningkatkan kemudahan infrastruktur telekomunikasi di negeri berkenaan bagi menambah baik capaian internet seterusnya memastikan masyarakat dapat menikmati jaringan komunikasi lebih baik. – Bernama
