Former US president Donald Trump has claimed a major victory in the Michigan Republican primary vote on Tuesday, beating Nikki Haley again.

Trump’s latest victory brings him one step closer to formally becoming the GOP nomination ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
The former president has now won every single primary and caucus in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race.
Trump’s victories in South Carolina, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and US Virgin Islands mean he will likely secure the GOP nomination soon.
Nikki Haley has come off consecutive losses to Trump in Nevada, Iowa, New Hampshire and most recently in her hometown of South Carolina.
Despite not winning a single primary or caucus, the former South Carolina Governor is yet to end her campaign.
