Reliance Brands Ltd said on Wednesday that its joint venture company has acquired the India trademark rights for British denim brands Lee Cooper.
Reliance Brands’ JV unit Iconix Lifestyle India Pvt Ltd has acquired the intellectual property rights in India Lee Cooper.
Analysts said Reliance Brands will be able to manufacture and distribute Lee Cooper branded products in India.
Born in 1908, with its heritage in denim, Lee Cooper is today a multi-category, dual gender brand with presence across 126 countries through 7,000 points of sale.
Iconix Lifestyle India is an equal joint venture between Reliance Brands and Iconix Brand Group Inc.
The JV owns 24 fashion and home brands from the Iconix portfolio for the Indian territory including Candie’s, Bongo, Badgley Mischka, Rampage, Mudd, Danskin, Ecko Unltd., Ocean Pacific, London Fog, Starter, Ed Hardy, Joe Boxer, Umbro, Rocawear, Artful Dodger, Marc Ecko, Mossimo, Zoo York, Charisma, Cannon, Royal Velvet, Waverly and Fieldcrest.Internet Explorer Channel Network
