Realme Narzo 70 Challengers: Motorola G64, Samsung Galaxy M34, More

Realme has been flooding the market with smartphones of late, and one of the most recently launched ones is the Narzo 70, which is being marketed as the fastest phone at its price point (it starts at Rs 15,999) and with good reason. The Narzo 70 comes with impressive specs and is powered by the very capable MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset which is paired with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

The phone features a tall 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and comes with a dual camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main sensor (which does all the lifting, heavy and light) and a 2-megapixel mono camera, with a 16-megapixel selfie sensor in front. All of this is kept going by a large 5,000mAh battery which comes with support for 45W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 14 out of the box with Realme UI on top. All these specs come in a well-designed phone that is quite light at 188 grams and has IP54 dust and splash resistance.

All of this makes the Realme Narzo 70 a solid smartphone at Rs 15,999 onwards, but a highly competitive market means that even the most solid contenders face enormous competition pressure. Building the pressure on the Realme Narzo 70 are these five competing smartphones:

Motorola G64: Mean Moto Machine 

Price: Rs 14,999 onwards

A phone that gives very tough competition to the Narzo 70 is the Moto G64, the first phone to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, which can not only sail smoothly through your everyday chores but will also let you swim in shallow gaming waters. And keeping it running for a really long time is a huge 6,000mAh battery.

While it has a lower charging speed at 30W, it will last you for longer, which makes up for the lack of big Watts.

It is a Motorola phone and hence comes with a clean interface, which Android purists will appreciate. It also brings an impressive dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a feature rare in this segment and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, while a 16-megapixel front-facing camera on the display handles selfies. This camera combo easily trumps the one on the Narzo 70.

Top it all off with an IP52 rating, and stereo speakers and you get a mean Moto machine. The only area where the Moto G64 falls behind the Narzo 70 is in terms of display. Not only does it have a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display, but it is also an LCD one, although it comes with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

Samsung Galaxy M34: Another Solid Mid-Segmenter 

Price: Rs 15,999 onwards

The Samsung Galaxy M34 comes with a vibrant 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and given this is a Samsung phone, the display is obviously a brilliant one.

The phone runs on Samsung’s Exynos 1280 processor, a solid mid-segmenter, and brings impressive numbers in the camera department as well – a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS (a rare sight in this segment), an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel camera on the back, while the drop notch on the front houses a 13-megapixel selfie sensor.

The Galaxy M34 runs on a large 6,000mAh battery with 25W charging support, although you do not get a charger in the box. The phone lacks stereo speakers and an IP rating but it does bring a 3.5mm audio jack to the table, and while it runs on Android 13 out of the box with Samsung’s OneUI on top, given Samsung’s incredible software update track record, this one should receive an update in no time as well.

Poco X6 Neo: Bringing In Big Megapixels 

Price: Rs 15,999 onwards

This is the only phone in the list with a main sensor that comes with megapixels in triple digits. The Poco X6 Neo comes with a 108-megapixel main sensor which captures a very good amount of detail and also offers 3x zoom, although this huge sensor is paired with a very modest 2-megapixel one.

The phone also has a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The Poco X6 Neo comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080, a decent processor for everyday tasks. A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone, which comes with 33W charging support (and a charger too), while an IP54 rating ensures it stays protected from dust and accidental splashes.

It comes with Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top of it out of the box but has been updated to HyperOS and Android 14. If you are looking for great camera prowess in this budget and love big megapixel counts, the Poco X6 Neo is your best bet.

Realme P1: So Similar To Narzo 70

Price: Rs 15,999 onwards

With Realme launching so many phones, it is barely a surprise that many end up being a threat to their own bloodline. The Realme P1 is one such offering. It has the same spec sheet as the Narzo 70, although it does look rather different in terms of appearance.

The phone is powered by the same powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and also brings a beautiful 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the Narzo 70, it too features a combo of a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 2-megapixel secondary camera, which again is a black and white snapper. The notch on the front is also home to a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. It too, has a 5,000mAh battery, and even comes with support for 45W fast charging.

The two phones weigh the same at 188 grams. Round this up with Android 14 out of the box with Realme UI on top, IP54 rating, stereo speakers, and you might find that the Realme P1 is basically the Narzo 70 in all but name and looks.

iQoo Z7s: Compact, Cool Camera Customer

Price: Rs 15,200 onwards

It might be the smallest phone in the list, but the iQoo Z7s compensates with some handy specs and a very good main camera. The camera star of the phone is a high-quality 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 sensor with OIS which is paired with a largely nominal 2-megapixel depth sensor.

There is a 16-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. It has a comparatively smaller display than the Narzo 70 at 6.38 inches and with a relatively lower 90 Hz refresh rate but it is a full HD+ AMOLED one.

The phone is powered by the slightly dated but still decent Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor (the only Qualcomm processor in this list). The phone has a smallish battery at 4,500mAh but comes with 44W fast charging support, almost the same as the Narzo 70. It does come with Android 13 with FunTouchOS out of the box but is packed with features (especially for photography) and is set to be updated to Android 14 soon.

It also brings an IP54 rating, a smaller, more comfortable form factor and is lighter than most of the devices in this segment. A handy compact camera wizard it is, and a proper pain for the Narzo 70.
