To raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment and to support impoverished patients, Ramathibodi Foundation has joined forces with four leading artists to come up with a special edition of charitable gifts and souvenirs titled “Giving And Happiness”.

“An act of giving can partly alleviate misery while those who give also receive happiness in return. The purchase of Ramathibodi Foundation’s charitable souvenirs and products as gifts or for personal use is also an act of giving because proceeds from the sale will go to help patients,” said Punsiree Kunakornpaiboonsiri, managing director of the Ramathibodi Foundation.

“We are determined to strengthen Thailand’s public health system through various projects that promote research and create more quality doctors and healthcare personnel to help treat people in all regions. The fruit of generous giving is therefore beyond expectation because donations from donors contribute significantly to the promotion of sustainable health.”

The collection features T-shirts, foldable bags, stationery bags made from ripstop fabric, ripstop tote bags, thermal bags, canvas bags, cloth masks, thermal tumblers, pillboxes, food containers, notebooks and mantra pillowcases.

All are adorned with artwork and cartoon characters by ML Chiratorn Chirapravati, Somnuek Klangnok as well as sisters Nualtong and Pattreeda Prasarnthong to share the happiness of giving.

ML Chiratorn presents “Knight In Shining Armour” artwork which comes in grey and Somnuek Klangnok created “Jai Dee” girl to represent the kind-hearted. Meanwhile, Pattreeda provided colourful drawings of food to boost positive energy and happiness and Nualtong designed a blooming flower with pollen to look like a smiling girl to bring vibrancy to daily life.

“This year, I drew a girl and named her Jai Dee. Dazzling in a flowery skirt, the girl mercifully hands a flower to butterflies because she knows butterflies love nectar. Though it looks like a small act of kindness, the girl feels very happy. Therefore, I believe that a small act of giving from everyone can become a huge contribution. Most importantly, I want everyone to feel delighted when they see Jai Dee girl on the items they use every day,” Somnuek said.
