New Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has already public spoken out on his admiration for current Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham, ahead of his recent arrival at the Theatre of Dreams.
Rangnick, who joined the Red Devils earlier today on a deal until the end of 21/22 campaign, has worked closely in and around German football since the mid 80’s and has complimented the former Birmingham City man, hailing him as ”extraordinary”.
Bellingham, whose future as always, remains a hot topic throughout the footballing word, is currently tied down with Dortmund until June 2025 and would command a substantially large fee to prise him away from the German giants.
But with the 63-year-old singing the England midfielder’s praises on more than one occasion, perhaps he could now be persuaded to join United should the opportunity present itself at a later date.
”Jude Bellingham – we don’t really have to talk about him,” began the former Leipzig head coach as he spoke to The Athletic back in 2020.
”He’s an absolute top player; one of the best. I have rarely seen a 17-year-old playing at such a level. We scouted him for 18 months at RB. He’s simply extraordinary.”
It is safe to say to that the former Hoffenheim coach does know a thing or two about spotting players talent at such a young age. Credited with scouting the likes of Sadio Mane, Erling Haaland, Joshua Kimmich and Timo Werner to name a few, the eye for a future star is certainly well within his realms.
And now with the likes of Donny van de Beek, Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood all under his watchful eye, it is certainly a mouthwatering prospect the levels these up and coming current United stars could perhaps reach.
With Rangnick also taking on a consultancy role with United upon the completion of his six month contract as interim coach, perhaps we could see the foundations being built for some more unearthed talent to light up Old Trafford as we have seen so many times across the clubs great history.Internet Explorer Channel Network
