Want to go to Japan, but it’s currently not in your budget to travel? Here’s something that won’t require a plane ticket: Japan Town in the heart of Makati.

Located on the rooftop of Glorietta 3, the newly revamped Japan Town boasts an enticing array of Japanese restaurants, each offering a unique culinary journey that captures the essence of Japan’s diverse and rich food culture along with an immersive dining experience inspired by its lively streets.

Here’s a quick and easy guide to Japanese restaurants in Japan Town specializing in sushi, ramen, curry, and more.

Musashi-Maru is a comfort haven for sushi lovers. Among its bestsellers include salmon sashimi (P280), uni sashimi (P350), and its Hinageshi (P540) set menu that has five kinds of sushi, mini udon, and assorted tempura.

For those in the mood for noods, Hakata Ton-Ichi invites guests to indulge in the savory and hearty flavors of its ramen selections. If you don’t mind a little spice, try the Karai Ramen (P398), but if you want something familiar and classic, go with Ton Ichi Ramen or Tonkontsu Ramen (P298).

Of course, we can’t talk about ramen without mentioning the crowd’s favorite, Ramen Nagi, which is also available in Japan Town.

Meanwhile, if curry is your vibe, give Coco Ichibanya a try and have a personalized curry experience. The restaurant specializes in curry and has a diverse range of toppings and spice levels catering to various palates.

There are meat, fish, and vegetable options for everyone. Among its top sellers are Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry (P400), Chicken Cutlet Omelette Curry (P400), and Vegetable Omelette Curry (P310).

In Japan Town, shabu-shabu and yakinuku are also within reach at Shaburi & Kintan, which offers a communal dining experience perfect for bonding with friends and family. The shabu-shabu menu starts at P449 while the yakinuku menu starts at P499.

Japan Town is at Level 4, Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati City.
