There can only be one winner of the Dancing With The Stars dance-off, but that doesn’t make it any easier when you send another contestant packing.
Last weekend was the first time this season two of the celebs went head-to-head to be saved by the judges. Having been at the bottom of the table for the last few weeks, maybe it was no real surprise to see former newsreader Eileen Dunne in the bottom two, but viewers were surprised to see she was going up against Rosanna Davison, who has consistently been impressing.

It was a bittersweet victory for Rosanna though, as she bid farewell to one of her comrades. After the show, Rosie said she felt guilty to be responsible for Eileen’s eviction. ‘I said sorry to her, but I’ll message her and apologise again,’ she said.

Now though, Rosanna is consoling herself with the fact that it’s just the name of the game. ‘It’s unfortunately just the way the show is set up and the way it runs. Eileen was such an asset to the show. I think everybody loved just seeing such a different side to her, seeing the style and the clothes every week.
‘She’s such a warm, genuine and kind person. I enjoyed great chats with her backstage over the last few weeks, so she really will be missed.’

This is the side of taking part in the show that seems to be impacting Rosanna the most. When Miriam Mullins was eliminated, Rosanna also shared a sweet farewell message for her.
The mum-of-three has never been quiet about the fact that she decided to take part in the show in an effort to find herself again after welcoming three little ones to the family in three years. Finding herself actually might be a bit of a stretch though, as she admits she is a bad dancer normally.

She said: ‘My family used to make it very clear that I had no moves, no rhythm. I was an absolute disaster on the dancefloor. Now they’re really getting into it.
‘They don’t want to see any hints of rehearsal videos, they want it to be a big surprise on a Sunday. They’re really supportive, all out there voting and getting their friends and families to vote as well. Everyone is all behind us.’

Rosanna beams each and every week taking to the floor and while the thought of her time on the show coming to an end could be a sad moment, she said that hearing she and pro partner Stephen Vincent were in the bottom two only served to motivate them.
‘There wasn’t that much time to panic actually before the dance-off. The feedback was that we danced a bit better than we did the first time around so we’ll take that,’ she said after the show. ‘I’m not a professional dancer. To me it felt really good.’
Still though, Rosanna is no doubt hoping that she won’t have be in the dance-off again next weekend.
