French President Emmanuel Macron announced that partner countries and allies will form a coalition to supply Ukraine with medium and long-range missiles, according to Le Monde.

The French leader announced at a press conference that it was decided to “create a coalition for deep strikes, thus supplying medium and long-range missiles and bombs.”

“Over the next ten days, we intend to mobilize all these efforts because we have identified many European and non-European countries that have ammunition,” Macron said.

The French President also urged Europeans to “produce more” of the relevant munitions.

Macron also reminded that earlier eight coalitions were created to support Ukraine, each dedicated to specific types of weaponry. The current one will be the ninth.

Moreover, according to him, representatives of the vast majority of countries at the special summit in Paris expressed the need to be prepared for a possible Russian attack in the coming years.

Special summit in Paris

On February 25, it was announced that French President Emmanuel Macron was gathering around 20 European leaders in Paris.

This meeting was organized due to the escalation of Russian aggression in recent weeks. The main goal was to “shatter the idea of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin winning the war against Ukraine.”

On February 26, in Paris, around 20 European leaders held a meeting dedicated to the issue of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned on Monday evening that on February 26, he participated in the work of a special summit in Paris organized by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. The meeting discussed everything that strengthens Europe, including arsenals, the ability to produce weapons, supplies for Ukraine, and the continuity of support.
