Police have launched a manhunt after a report that a woman was raped in an alleyway in London.
An investigation started by the Met Police after officers were contacted by a woman in her 20s who had reported that she had been raped by a man in Medals Way, Stratford.
The attack happened at around 6.50pm on Thursday. The woman is being supported by specially trained officers.
The man is described as being tall, slim and aged in his 20s. He was wearing a black tracksuit and beige cap.
Detective Constable Ben Dailey, who is working on the investigation, said: ‘We have carried out a number of enquiries, including recovering CCTV from around the area.
