An all-girls football team has won a boys’ league after going unbeaten all season and earning the ‘invincibles’ title.
Queens Park Ladies U12s finished with 18 wins, four draws and no losses in the league of 11 boys’ teams and theirs.
The only girls team in the Bournemouth boys’ Youth Football League, they scored 61 goals and conceded only 11.

Mr Green, 42, said: ‘In the early days of the season, we would hear the boys sniggering, and I was thinking ‘You boys have no idea what you’re up against.’
‘Being invincibles is a big deal; only one team in the English league have finished a season undefeated – Arsenal – and people still talk about that even though it was 20 years ago.’
Captain Olivia, 12, said: ‘Beating the boys shows we can play just as well, if not better.’
