Tshedza Pictures to replace ‘The River’ with their new telenovela ‘Champions’

The popular South African production house Tshedza Pictures, already celebrated for hits like ‘The River‘, ‘Adulting‘, ‘Gqeberha: The Empire‘, and ‘Outlaws,’ is expanding its dominion with the upcoming Mzansi Magic sensation, ‘Champions‘ to replace ‘The River’ after it came to an end last year 2023. The A-list cast, including Sello Maake ka-Ncube, Thembinkosi Mthembu, and Jo-anne Reyneke, alongside breakout talents Rethabile Mohapi and Minkie Malatji, promises a riveting narrative.

In this male-dominated soccer empire, portrayed by Reyneke as Sne Modise, tenacity and ambition take centre stage in the midst of challenges, love, and betrayal stemming from sudden changes in her father Washington’s life. Tshedza Pictures is thrilled to collaborate again with Mzansi Magic, and we eagerly anticipate the moment our viewers will join us on this incredible journey.”
