Days after the swearing-in of newly appointed Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, hectic parleys are on at the state Congress over the Cabinet expansion.
While former Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi, Captain Amarinder Singh, who vacated the CM post in a rush, is gearing up to put up another fight.
Meanwhile, Sunil Jakhar, who was the frontrunner for the post of leader of Punjab Congress Legislative Party, travelled with the Gandhi siblings from Chandigarh to Delhi on Wednesday.
Jakhar has expressed unhappiness over Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat’s statement saying Navjot Singh Sidhu will be the face of Punjab Congress for the 2022 assembly elections.
