PSG vs Dortmund LIVE!
The first of this season’s Champions League finalists will be confirmed tonight as Paris Saint-Germain host Borussia Dortmund in the opener of this week’s blockbuster semi-final second-leg ties. The visitors arrive at the Parc des Princes holding a narrow 1-0 advantage from last week’s initial clash in Germany, which saw Jadon Sancho dazzle and Niclas Fullkrug score before both teams missed plenty of golden chances during a thrilling second half.
While 1997 winners Dortmund are eyeing their third final and first since 2013 at Wembley, which also hosts next month’s showpiece, PSG will be desperate to mount a comeback tonight as the beaten 2020 finalists look to finally end their long wait for European glory in what is Kylian Mbappe’s final campaign with the club before he joins fellow semi-finalists Real Madrid in the summer.
Tonight will mark Mbappe’s final Champions League outing for PSG on home soil, with head coach Luis Enrique replacing the injured Lucas Hernandez and Bradley Barcola with Lucas Beraldo and Goncalo Ramos as opposite number Edin Terzic names an unchanged team from the first leg. Terzic: Dortmund have made great progress since last Paris trip
18:58 , George Flood
The head to head record between these two sides currently stands at two wins apiece with one draw, with Dortmund’s first-leg win last week following two meetings during the group stage when PSG won 2-0 on home soil in September before drawing 1-1 away in Germany.
The sides also met in the group stage of the Europa League in 2010, while PSG overcame Dortmund in the Champions League last-16 in 2020 – losing the first leg 2-1 away before winning 2-0 back in Paris.
For his part, Dortmund boss Terzic thinks his team have made great strides forward since this season’s previous trip to the French capital, despite their stellar European form not being matched during a disappointing domestic campaign that sees them sit fifth in the Bundesliga table with just two matches left to play this term.
“We hadn’t really found ourselves yet,” Terzic said of that September clash, when Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi were both on the scoresheet for PSG.
“We lacked courage in many areas. In the two games in Dortmund, we then showed that we can play very differently against PSG.
“They have a mission, we have a huge dream… there are enough things we have to do better, because they will do better.
“Part of the success was bringing that intensity onto the pitch. If we need to, we’ll run another 20 kilometres.”

Edin Terzic: Dortmund must improve on first-leg performance
18:43 , George Flood
Speaking at his own pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Dortmund boss Edin Terzic admitted that his side would need to improve upon their Jadon Sancho-inspired first-leg victory in order to reach a first Champions League final for 11 years tonight.
He is evidently expecting the hosts to come out all guns blazing on home soil in order to overturn the deficit.
“We showed a good game last week, which gave us that little lead. But that performance probably won’t be enough to get us into the final,” Terzic said.
“We have to do everything together with a good plan, with a good idea.
“Paris will certainly do better than last week. We want to earn this ticket to the final. We’ll tackle that together.”

The atmosphere for last week’s first-leg showdown at Signal Iduna Park was absolutely sensational, with the famed Yellow Wall more than playing their part in Dortmund’s hard-fought win.
And if these pre-match videos from PSG are anything to go by, we’re in for similar non-stop noise at the Parc des Princes tonight…
Luis Enrique confident over PSG turnaround on home soil
18:22 , George Flood
Despite last week’s narrow defeat in Dortmund and a host of missed chances during a memorable second half, Luis Enrique appears confident that his PSG side will get the job done tonight and advance to the Champions League final at Wembley on June 1.
The Spaniard also believes that the sold-out home crowd at a no doubt rocking Parc des Princes will play a key role in getting his team over the line.
“That is the only sentence I know in French, ‘on va gagner’ we are going to win,” Enrique said.
“It is a sentence I like, and I always think my team will win, so that is what I say.
“I think the role of the fans will be vital, as it has been throughout the season.
“We have a total guarantee that the fans will be fully behind us as they have been all year, particularly when we need them, and this isn’t a normal thing.
“We will all be together and I hope we can celebrate a victory and a place in the final.”

Luis Enrique: PSG not aiming to win second leg by two goals
18:13 , George Flood
Luis Enrique insists PSG will not be fixated on scoring exactly twice tonight in order to overturn their first-leg deficit and reach the Champions League final for only the second time in club history.
Glory in Europe’s elite club competition has always felt like the ultimate validation that has long been sought for the PSG project, but they have endured a string of high-profile failures on the biggest stage and lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in their only previous final appearance in Lisbon back in 2020.
“The aim isn’t to win by two goals, but to win, if you think you have to score two goals that seems like a big target,” Luis Enrique told a press conference on Tuesday.
“We just want to play and score. If we score in the 89th minute, it will carry on.
“We don’t need to score right away, we just want to win the game.
“You could score twice in two minutes, but you could also concede a goal.
“It will be an even game with a high level of play on and off the ball, so it will be tough for both teams.”

Dortmund team news
17:51 , George Flood
Whereas reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG had the weekend off after the first leg, Borussia Dortmund were back in Bundesliga action on Saturday and thrashed Augsburg 5-1 on an emotional day that saw fans pay initial tribute to the outgoing club legend Marco Reus, whose Westfalenstadion exit after 12 years has been confirmed.
BVB head coach Edin Terzic rested several key players for that game, with the likes of captain Emre Can, Jadon Sancho and Niclas Fullkrug remaining unused substitutes and the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Brandt and Karim Adeyemi only making cameos off the bench.
Full-back Julian Ryerson and striker Sebastien Haller were absent altogether at the weekend, but are expected to be fit for tonight’s game.
The same is true of Adeyemi after a knock, though Dortmund remain without Algerian defender Ramy Bensebaini and young forward Julien Duranville.

PSG team news
17:42 , George Flood
PSG were dealt a major injury blow during last week’s first-leg defeat in Dortmund after key defender Lucas Hernandez was injured trying to prevent Niclas Fullkrug’s impressive first-half goal.
It was later revealed that the French centre-back had suffered an ACL tear that required surgery and is expected to keep him out for several months, meaning no European Championship this summer.
Young Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo, a January signing from Sao Paulo, is expected to step in alongside captain Marquinhos at the back tonight, though Milan Skriniar is also a potential option along with Danilo Pereira.
Presnel Kimpembe remains out for PSG, along with goalkeeper Sergio Rico and full-back Layvin Kurzawa.
We could see head coach Luis Enrique try to liven up his attack tonight in an attempt to mount a comeback, which could mean one of Lee Kang-in, Marco Asensio, Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani coming in with Bradley Barcola’s starting berth potentially under threat.
