PSA: This Greenfield District Road Turns Car-Free Every Sunday Morning
(SPOT.ph) Heads up, motorists: One road in Mandaluyong City is set to become a car-free zone every Sunday morning. After all, Greenfield District is one of the few places in the Metro that is equipped with green spaces, a vibrant community, and a weekend market. Why not add a car-free road to the mix?
Starting December 3, a portion of Mayflower Street will be closed to cars from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. every Sunday to provide more pedestrian-friendly spaces for Mandaluyong residents and visitors. Pedestrians can take a relaxing stroll, bike, walk pets, and roller skate in the area.

On weekdays, Greenfield is home to thousands of BPO employees and other professionals working in the offices situated in the Greenfield Tower. On weekends, the locale undergoes a transformation into a lively shopping and entertainment center with live music and various food merchants.
This car-free initiative will be in place until further notice.
