The GWM Haval H6 GT is unchanged for 2024, although as with its more conventionally shaped Haval H6 sibling, there are deals to be had.
GWM is offering $1500 off the drive-away price of the flagship Haval H6 GT Ultra until June 30, 2024, but the base Lux’s price tag is unchanged.
That’s in contrast with the Haval H6 range, where there are price cuts across the board until the end of the financial year.
2024 GWM Haval H6 GT price and specs
The GWM Haval H6 GT is unusual in offering a coupe SUV body style at this end of the market, traditionally the domain of luxury brands. It arrived here in 2022, around a year after the regular H6.
In addition to a unique body style and different front-end styling, the Haval H6 GT features some unique design elements inside its cabin.
Also unlike the regular Haval H6, there’s no hybrid option offered – at least not in Australia. Instead, the two-model range comes exclusively with a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, with the Lux being front-wheel drive and the Ultra being all-wheel drive.

Drivetrains
The 2024 GWM Haval H6 GT is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque, mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Lux is front-wheel drive, while the Ultra is all-wheel drive.
Efficiency
The 2024 GWM Haval H6 GT uses 7.5L/100km on the combined cycle in Lux guise and 8.4L/100km in the Ultra.
It runs on 91 RON regular unleaded fuel.
The Lux has a 61L fuel tank, the Ultra a 60L one.

The 2024 GWM Haval H6 GT measures 4727mm long, 1940mm wide and 1729mm tall on a 2738mm wheelbase.
Boot space is 392L, expanding to 1390L with the rear seats folded.
Kerb weight is 1570kg in the Lux and 1680kg in the Ultra.
Braked and unbraked towing capacity figures are 2000kg and 750kg, respectively.
Servicing and Warranty
The GWM Haval H6 GT is backed by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, and GWM offers five years’ worth of capped-price services.
In the Lux, these services are capped at $225, $250, $400, $450 and $225.
In the Ultra, they’re capped at $225, $280, $500, $550 and $225.
Safety
The GWM Haval H6 GT has a five-star safety rating from ANCAP, based on testing of the related Haval H6 conducted in 2022.
It received an adult occupant protection rating of 90 per cent, a child occupant protection rating of 88 per cent, a vulnerable road user protection rating of 73 per cent, and a safety assist rating of 81 per cent.
