PRN Melaka: Pejuang kemungkinan tidak letak calon

ALOR SETAR – Parti Pejuang Tanahair (Pejuang) kemungkinan tidak meletakkan calon untuk bertanding pada Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) Melaka berdasarkan kepada pendirian parti itu yang menolak PRN diadakan dalam masa terdekat ini.

Setiausaha Agung Pejuang, Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah berkata, namun keputusan itu boleh berubah pada saat akhir sekiranya keadaan diyakini lebih selamat untuk diadakan pilihan raya.

Menurutnya, sebarang perubahan akan ditentukan selepas Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) menetapkan tarikh PRN Melaka selain notis akhir untuk menghantar pencalonan.

“Berdasarkan pendirian awal, kami tidak akan meletakkan calon pada PRN Melaka kerana sejak awal lagi Pejuang tidak bersetuju diadakan PRN.

“Buat masa ini, pendirian kami adalah tidak meletakkan calon di 28 kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Melaka kerana ini pendirian parti,” katanya kepada Sinar Harian pada Ahad.

Tambah Amiruddin, perkara itu masih dibincangkan pucuk pimpinan tertinggi parti dan keputusan muktamad akan diumumkan dalam tempoh berkenaan.

“Kami akan tengok keadaan pada ketika itu, malah semua parti politik masih mengadakan perbincangan termasuk SPR yang belum mengumumkan notis PRN Melaka.

“Secara logiknya, tidak konsisten pula apabila diadakan PRN, Pejuang ambil bahagian sedangkan pendirian kami adalah menolak PRN,” katanya lagi.

Menurut Ahli Parlimen Kubang Pasu itu, buat masa ini Pejuang tetap dengan pendiriannya iaitu adalah tidak sesuai PRN diadakan dalam tempoh terdekat.

“Keputusan muktamad samada letak calon atau tidak, akan dinilai semula berdasarkan tarikh PRN berlangsung dan kami akan buat keputusan akhir pada ketika itu.

“Sekiranya situasi berubah iaitu keadaan lebih selamat pada tarikh PRN itu, kami akan lihat kembali sebarang kemungkinan,” katanya.

Dalam pada itu Amiruddin berkata, seeloknya mandat diberikan kepada Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) yang mendapat sokongan majoriti untuk meneruskan pentadbiran setelah empat ADUN mewakili kerajaan negeri menarik sokongan terhadap kepimpinan Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali.

“Kekecohan yang berlaku di Melaka bermula dengan krisis dalaman UMNO yang menyebabkan kerajaan negeri tumbang. Akhirnya UMNO juga yang mahu diadakan PRN walaupun sangat tidak sesuai ketika pandemik belum reda.

“Biarpun prosedur operasi standard (SOP) Covid-19 ketika pilihan raya akan diwujudkan, kebarangkalian untuk apa yang berlaku di PRN Sabah tetap ada. Banyak negeri sudah beralih ke Fasa Tiga dan Empat Pelan Pemulihan Negara (PPN). Kita tidak mahu selepas PRN Melaka, ada negeri terpaksa kembali semula ke fasa sebelumnya ekoran kes meningkat,” katanya.
