Samsung has confirmed that it is currently working on a new update for the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones, aimed at addressing several issues and enhancing user experience. The software update will allow users to adjust the display colour output, and it will also improve the camera performance of the Galaxy S24 series. The update is expected to be available for all three smartphones by the end of February 2024.

Following the launch, many users expressed concerns about the display’s colour reproduction being somewhat muted, especially when compared to the Galaxy S23 series. With the upcoming update, Samsung will enable users to customize this by allowing adjustments to the “Vividness” of the screen via the “Advanced settings” menu in the display settings.
Additionally, Samsung has confirmed that the update will further enhance the camera performance of the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung stated, “We have made enhancements across the camera experience, including upgrades to the device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, rear camera video shooting capabilities, and more.”
This update will optimize the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S24+, which are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and the Exynos 2400 SoC. In India, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Exynos 2400, while the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ are based on the Exynos 2400 SoC.
Alongside the launch of the S24 series, Samsung introduced Galaxy AI features, enabling experiences like AI-powered image editing, real-time call translation, and even a wallpaper generator. Some of these features are confirmed to be made available on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Z Fold5 series of smartphones with a future software update.
