Prince Harry and Charles 'still have gulf between them' as King 'snubs' son on UK visit

Prince Harry and his father King Charles III still have a “gulf” between them, it has been claimed by an expert.

On Tuesday, the Duke of Sussex arrived in the United Kingdom after he jetted in from the United States for an Invictus Games event, which is due to take place tonight.

After weeks of speculation as to whether or not Prince Harry will meet with his father King Charles during his trip to the UK – it was revealed after the Duke landed on British soil that a meeting between the two would not be happening.

A spokesperson for the Duke said: “It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Harry’s trip to the UK is for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he co-founded in 2014. The Duke will attend St Paul’s Cathedral today for a thanksgiving service for the games, with him set to give a reading at the event.

Public relations guru Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR has now weighed in on the situation, with her giving her thoughts exclusively to The Mirror. “It was speculated that Harry would see his father, King Charles on this visit, but a spokesman for Harry has confirmed the pair will not meet due to the King’s full schedule,” Lynn said.

She went on: “I feel this is a shame as the pair will be so close in distance. So perhaps the gulf is still wide between the pair. Harry’s trip has been in the diary for some time now and I’m sure his Majesty could have made some time to see his son.”

Concluding her expert analysis of the heated situation, Lynn went on to add: “However, I am sure both parties want the ice to thaw, so hopefully they can continue to build bridges.”
